Birmingham, England
I have found Birmingham to be the most inclusive, supportive & welcoming city I have visited in the UK.
Breakfast was delivered at the Crowne Plaza City Centre Hotel, at no extra cost, so we could eat in the room away from the noise and lights, and all items were contained separately for our party members with ARFID. There were super cinemas, and we had very inclusive care at The Everyman cinema by a neurodivergent worker called Jamie, which was really nice.
In Birmingham, we have never had staring, tutting, slurs, like we have experienced in some other places. People are just so diverse, busy with their own lives, and we simply aren’t that interesting there! And there isn’t the impatience or feeling if taking up too much space that can occur in London.
