Crescent Hideaway, Weston Super Mare

This 2 bedroom accessible bungalow is a home from home for anyone with additional needs.   Our passion is to provide an accessible property where the equipment you need is provided as much as possible and there are lots of aids for our more able guests as well.  See list below. 

It has an accessible hot tub that can be used with your own sling or we have a chair seat that can be used by any guests with full upper body control who would struggle with the hot tub steps.

Note: I am available to assist with care if needed. I am insured, on the DBS Update Register and have 16 years experience in care including complex care. I charge £15 per hour. 

  • A single profiling bed with removeable sides plus an overhead track hoist in the bedroom. 2 chair beds.
  • A doublebed that can be used with the mobile hoist + a stand aid hoist.
  • A pressure mattress or a memory foam mattress plus airflow overlay if needed. 
  • A wet room, 3 shower commode chairs, a Tilt n Space, a Self Propelling and a Rifton HTS suitable for a child/small adult.
  • A pull down shower table for used with the mobile hoist,
  • A riser recliner chair plus a video and sound monitor.

Attractions

Crescent Hideaway is about 1 mile from the seafront and town so you can drive to the seafront in 5 minutes or walk in about 40 minutes. Situated on a hill, there is an accessible path through Ashcombe Park, that will take you down a gradual incline to the bottom of the hill.

There is a very flat and wide accessible promenade with lots of lovely walks around. The sea does go out a long way, but the sand is quite firm and lots of people with wheelchairs manage to go on the sand. The hoist into the hot tub was fabulous. After loosing the mobility in his legs he has not been able to use one due to the steps but this was perfect. We will definitely be returning. Tina & Paul deserve a gold medal for this holiday home.”

  • Other Info: The prices for 2024 are £135 per night for the whole property including all of the equipment in school holidays and £115 per night all other times, subject to availability. There will be a 25% refundable deposit payable upon booking with the balance due 4 weeks before your stay.
