Crescent Hideaway – nearby attractions
There are lots of accessible restaurants that are mostly dog friendly. There are restrictions for certain areas on the beach for dogs between 1st May and 30th September. And of course, who can forget the Grand Pier which is accessible and the arcades. There is obviously lots of Fish and Chip restaurants and takeaways as well. Further along the beach towards Uphill is a lovely nature reserve that has an accessible path and if you are feeling brave, will take you all the way to Brean. There is a lovely cafe at the beginning of the walk called The Boathouse. We have a lovely Farm called Puxton Park very close to Weston and about a 20 minute drive is Noah’s Ark Zoo. For a rainy day, Cadbury Garden Centre is brilliant and has lots of shops and a lovely restaurant. If you are feeling energetic, Strawberry Line Cycles has adapted bikes available. They are based in Yatton Train Station. You could take a ride or walk to the famous Thatchers cider tour where there is a lovely pub called the Railway Inn. If you join the path just as you enter Congresbury on the A370, it is about 4 miles to the pub. We also have the Helicopter Museum and Weston Museum which is full of history and character. Open now for the summer is our Big Wheel that does have an accessible pod. I have added a photo confirming the width of the door so might not be suitable for everyone. Prince Consort Gardens is a lovely area to sit and watch the world go around on a sunny day. From 15/07/2023 a new accessible SEND Park has opened at Castlebatch.
