Hartlands Hotel, Shanklin

The Hartlands is run by Colin & Elaine,  the founders of Spectrum Breaks.  As parents of an  autistic child they have renovated and reinvented this delightful Victorian hotel as an Autism Friendly Holiday centre.  Situated on the South Coast in Shanklin in the beautiful and tranquil Isle of Wight and provides accommodation and facilities to support families, schools, and care homes with members of any age on the Autistic Spectrum. 

Enjoy a relaxing holiday in one of our 4 autism friendly fully equipped luxury self contained apartments.  All apartments are spacious and comfortable with fully fitted modern kitchens, comfortable lounges with leather sofas, 42″ TV, and DVD. The bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms with a roll-top bath in the masters and safety showers in the twins; all being designed to support families with members of any age on the Autistic Spectrum.

Onsite activities include Pool tables, Music equipment, Cinema, IT, Sensory, Art, Gym & Sauna and a Private Indoor Heated Pool.

 There are many good places on the island to visit too. The busy beaches have more facilities than the quieter ones.  Note: Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor beaches are good for swimming while low tide makes Appley a good place for football and beach games.   For more beaches and places to visit please click here

Awesome Place!  This is truly a great place for a family. It caters to all, including siblings of autistic children. We have now visited 5 times and it delivers every time.
