Scotland’s most famous loch is the stunning backdrop for this campsite in the Scottish Highlands. The aptly-named Loch Ness Shores Club Site is located on the quieter south shore near the village of Foyers and has an amenity block with under floor heating, shower rooms and an on-site shop. The site has excellent eco credentials, using innovative green technologies. 

There are panoramic views around the campsite, to the mountains beyond, and it is the perfect base for walks and exploring the scenery and wildlife in the area. Historic sites like the magnificent Urquhart Castle and the charming town and village of Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit are located around Loch Ness.

Farigaig Forest is home to red squirrels while on the north side you’ll find the Abriachan Forest with a myriad of trails and various sculptures and points of interest along the way, including a replica Bronze Age hut, shieling and a treehouse!

Abbreviated from a review by Leslie S: The site is clearly laid out so that children have visual and physical markers and barriers, (fantastic for children living with autism). … The fence surrounding the child and tent areas is very high so the visual barrier is enhanced. Not only this but the toilet area is visual from the play park so the children can go to and from and stay within the visual range of parents, (another visual barrier).
